How long will it take to get my images back?

Good things take time. Expect your gallery back in about 4 weeks for lifestyle sessions.

How much money is required down before my session?

50% is required down, the final payment is due on the session day. I accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, and credit card.

Umm…We’re awkward in front of the camera. Can you make us un-awkward?

I’m pretty sure 99% of my clients claim they’re “awkward.” Guess what… I’m one of those people too! Being in front of the camera isn’t exactly a natural experience for us all. Have no fear! I’ll be directing you with motion to ensure there’s no weird middle school dance look happening, and soon enough you’ll be having too much fun that you’ll forget about the “awkwardness.” I’ve got your back.

How far out should I book?

A couple weeks out is typically fine - and I’m usually available on a whim! But the end of summer and fall tend to fill up faster as school goes back into session and the autumn colors start turning.

How many outfits are you allowed to have for a regular session?

While I don’t exactly have an “outfit rule,” I recommend 2-3 outfits for engagements and families, and 3-5 outfits for seniors. Have other ideas? Please share!

How many photos do I get in a gallery for a regular session?

All regular session galleries hold a minimum of 50 images that are available for purchase as prints or downloadable files.

How do I choose locations? how many am I allowed?

I always recommend brainstorming a list of places that hold meaning to you and the purpose of the photos specifically - regardless of session type. I’m always here to give my advice on locations as well, and I’ll be sure to seek out the best possible light in any given scenario. For most sessions, 2-3 locations are fine - just keep in mind the travel distance.

How long does a regular session take?

This is the trickiest question to answer! For portraits, sessions typically take 2-3 hours while factoring drive time between locations, chatting up a storm, and changing outfits. For lifestyle, expect just as much time, but probably more. Given that lifestyle is catered to a more documentary style, moments don’t just unravel all at once. The longer I can spend with my lifestyle clients, the more I can get to know you, the more comfortable you become with my camera and I, and the better I document you.
