Adam & Corinne: Marquette Memorial Day Weekend Wedding

Adam & Corinne

May 23, 2015

I met Adam and Corinne in the winter over coffee at Babycakes. We clicked instantly and I knew their wedding day would absolutely rock! They are incredibly down-to-Earth, fun loving people that without a doubt know how to throw an awesome party. Adam should be awarded groom of the year too... he electively and gladly took over the bulk of the wedding planning to keep Corinne as close to stress free as can be!!! Oftentimes, the bride is the first one to be in contact with me. In this case, Adam initiated our emails and handled the business end of everything... definite keeper!

Corinne and Adam were graced with a gorgeous, cool, sunny day on Memorial Day weekend in downtown Marquette. Adam is enrolled in the Army himself, so all the more appropriate the date. The ladies started their day at Salon Salon and the historic Landmark Inn. The ceremony was held at Saint Peter's Cathedral, uniting the couple in their faith. Corinne and Adam chose Black Rocks and Lower Harbor as their photo destinations. During our venture around Lower Harbor, I had time to hang out with just Corinne and Adam for a solid hour... a photographer's dream! The reception followed at Elizabeth's Chophouse. This was my first time ever shooting in the Chophouse, and let me tell you, the food and service was amazing!! As recent wedding-goers know, traditional cake isn't exactly the norm anymore for desert. While Corinne and Adam did have a "normal" cake, they had cake push-pops. Not one of those spherical cake pops. A legitimate play on your childhood favorite ice cream push-pop, but in an array of cake flavors. The dance floor was well alive and concluded the evening with sparklers... but I assure you sparks were flew all the while :)
