Dylan & Janine: Little Presque Isle Engagement

We started Dylan and Janine's session in an epic, awkward way. I was just cruising past Phil's 550 Store when my radio suddenly turned off... then my AC went out... and then came the dreaded powering-down sound resonating from beneath me. My fan belt apparently decided it was a good time to disintegrate in a no-service zone 10 minutes from when we were supposed to meet. I was jumping for joy when Janine's call miraculously came through and they were able to rescue me, ha!! You know your clients are super cool when they don't mind the fact you have very human problems sometimes too.

The Songbird Trail at the Little Presque recreational area made for a perfect first location. We were graced with crave-able doses of sunlight leaking through the canopy and their fluffy companion made an appearance in the first few frames as well. When we moved into the stand of red pines, Dylan and Janine absolutely nailed their outfits! The fabric of Janine's dress opened up so much more opportunity to work with the motion. The way light interacted with it made for amazing results too. The flies were getting outrageous however, so we had to abort Little Presque for Presque Isle Beach in Marquette. Yet again, they didn't disappoint in the outfit department. You can never go wrong with flowy dresses, floppy hats, and button-downs on an engagement session. Despite getting her dress snagged on a fishing lure, Dylan and Janine rocked it until the final rays of light dimmed.

Needless to say, this preview of their awesomeness makes me so excited for their summer wedding at the Belsolda Farm in 2017!!!
