California in Analog

My Minolta came slung across my body on my maiden trip to San Francisco, and I think I've discovered how I'm going to document my personal moments in travel for now on. Thanks to my incredible wedding clients, Chuck and Anusha, I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph them near their recent home in Redwood City. With a little wiggle room in my itinerary, I took advantage of my still functioning on Eastern time and took off on mini adventures at 3 am, wide awake. Through my film scans (beautifully developed and scanned by The Darkroom ), you'll see glimpses of my wanders through the Sunset District, a morning run along China Beach, winding mountain roads through Yosemite, and explorations of the Muir Woods area coastal zone. The final frame is from a west coast sunset below the cliffs of Half Moon Bay, and I can now understand why so many artists talk about California dreaming.
