Copper Country Engagement: Shawn & Tori
Shawn, Tori, and I embarked on a Keweenaw adventure after the autumn leaves had already shed from the maples and oaks. It seems most clients are always nervous about missing the peak of the colors, but as a photographer, I love shooting when fall has already fallen. The neutral tones of the desaturated grasses and vegetation help create a cozy, warm glow on sunny, late autumn afternoons. Likewise on days of complete overcast, the dried and dying flora bring a moodier warmth that brings a little life to the more somber atmosphere.
We galavanted along abandoned copper mines and ended at Bumbletown, a sweet-spot in the Keweenaw that allows you to see Lake Superior on both sides of the peninsula. The genuine smiles are brought to you by Shawn's epic humor; I know for a fact I was also dying of laughter over conversations of bird sh*t on shirts, hahaha!
