Christin: Portraits - Spring in Marquette, Michigan

Christin was one of the session winners from my 1,500 Facebook likes giveaway! You best believe there'll be another giveaway once it reaches 2,000. ;)

I've briefly known Christin through photo classes at Northern Michigan University while I was still double majoring. The session was a perfect way for us to get to know each other better, and she sure knows how to rock both sides of the lenses, whether she believes it or not! Christin is a photo major herself, and aspires to work for National Geographic someday.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula is finally starting to thaw out, meaning the days are starting to grace us with a little more sunshine than the winter months. We started out at a logging site along County Road 550.  Logging is a prevalent industry here in the UP, but I feel its something that isn't documented very well. We decided to shake up our session by implementing this commonly overlooked scene. We later hit up the top story of a parking garage to catch as much of the sunset as we possibly could. Hellooooo golden hour!
