Casey + Kim | Spring Keweenaw Engagement Session
Casey and Kim are high school sweethearts getting married this fall in Copper Harbor, Michigan! They both played hockey growing up, and even played against each other in high school at times.
For their engagement photos, they first invited me into Laurium home where we hung out with their German short hair pointer, Dexter, and danced around on their hardwood floors.
We moved into their bright, beautiful enclosed porch! I am OBSESSED! I’m also in love with Kim’s cute top from Covington & Co!
This little cutout design on their front porch was my next obsession! The light and geometry… I need one of those “okay” emojis right now. Peep Casey’s socks too, ya football head! (You’ll get it if you watched cartoons in the 90’s.)
We snapped a few more frames with Dexter in their yard as well. If you’re not familiar with German shorthairs, or GSPs, they are super quirky and needy dogs… I think we did a good job capturing this, haha!!
We moved downtown for a few classic shots in historic Calumet. I think its easy for any scenery to seem mundane when you live near and see it everyday, but the sandstone buildings and old architecture in general are both incredible features of this old mining town!
We made our last stop in their neighbor’s field… swoon!
I wanted to end by saying how grateful I am for these two! Not only are they two incredibly likable people with amazing personalities, Kim actually was one of the nurses that helped take care of my Dustin when he fell off of our roof shortly after I delivered their gallery! Eternally grateful. Can’t wait for your wedding, Kim and Casey!
