Let's Talk Tangible

If there's a topic that can put me on a tangent, it's the need for more tangible print items in our digital age. Growing up in a time where we experienced life before the rise of the internet, I think we're all familiar with the raw joy of flipping through family photo albums and receiving event invitations via snail mail versus being added to an informal Facebook event. There's something simply inspiring about handling thick, quality papers with soothing textures and accurate color representation. Don't get me wrong; social media is incredible in the way we can share and reach a vast crowd in record time. We can create impressions perhaps as far and wide as the very Earth expands at minimal cost. However, I advocate the tangible for all personal impressions.

That raw joy I was referring to before? It's so fun sending beautiful images, notes, and announcements in the postal system knowing the giddiness you're giving your loved ones by sending something specifically addressed to them! The tangible enables us to give a familiar piece to those we care about to reflect on our relationships and stories.

With high school and college grad season rolling in, I've teamed up with Basic Invite to create samples of their photo card incredible products! Since meeting some of their staff back in 2014 at WPPI, an amazing photography convention in Las Vegas,  I fell in love with their quality standards, customizable color options, print accuracy, and insanely timely production and shipping speeds. They offer far more color options than any other photo card website I've ever explored, making their creative and appealing templates even greater to work with to suit any desired aesthetic. In the past, I'd found myself afraid to print mass batches of cards without truly knowing what to expect of print color accuracy especially. Conveniently, Basic Invite allows you to print single sample cards so there's no guessing game on how much you'll love the product. I must also rave about their foiled lettering options. I'm a sucker for small, pretty details. The foiling is an affective way to add a spark of glitz without feeling as though you paid an arm and a leg.

So, my seniors, here's your tried and true spiel in regards to where I would always recommend you start designing when cranking out those graduation announcements and invitations when you have that, oh shoot, I still need to make those, moment ;)

p.s. They currently have 15% off everythinggggg.

p.p.s I'm totally having that oh shoot, I still need to make those, moment with NMU's graduation creeping up.
