Intimate Eagle Harbor Wedding
Eagle Harbor holds a special place in Ethan and Bridgetβs hearts. Living in the Twin Cities, itβs a destination they return to as often as possible with its coastal aesthetic and tight knit local community.
Bridget started the day getting ready in a quaint cabin a short walk from the lighthouse with close friends and family. Ethan got ready at their ceremony venue, St Peterβs By the Sea.
The church was decorated simply with fall-inspired florals, macrame details, and candles. A memorial with fresh wildflowers adorned one of the frontmost pews in honor of Bridgetβs late father. As Bridget and her mother walked up the aisle to meet Ethan, their guests tossed wildflowers in lieu of having a flower girl. They made the ceremony their own by having a close friend officiate, having a ring warming ceremony (where both wedding rings are passed around for the guests to hold and wish positive energy upon them), and to honor Ethanβs heritage, they did the Jewish breaking of the glass. After the ceremony, everyone blew bubbles, but rather than as a sendoff, Ethan and Bridget participated too.
From there, Ethan and Bridget took portraits around the Eagle Harbor beach, Eagle Harbor lighthouse, and along Eliza Lake and adjacent trails. The wind was wild and gusty, which took down a tree that knocked out the power, but thankfully all was well and working for dinner. Dinner was served privately at the Fitz in Eagle River afterwards. Their siblings made toasts and they cut the cake together in the end.
