Family Lifestyle Photos on a Marquette Vacation

This little family is near and dear to my heart. Brittany was one of my first friends in a college photography class and I’ve been honored with photographing so many important chapters in her life with her husband, Patrick. From for fun couples photos in our college days, to their rooftop Kalamazoo wedding, and now regular family sessions. This session dates back to 2023 and I certainly plan to share their 2024 session soon enough too… I just didn’t have the heart to skip sharing this iconic session! We met up in the city where their love story begins: Marquette, MI. Only this time, the trip was all the more special as their son experienced Marquette for his first time.

To keep the session true to a lifestyle nature, we started the session in their motel room at the Cedar Motor Inn, where they always enjoy staying when in town. From there, we checked out the new pier area in Lower Harbor, capturing the iconic ore dock on Lake Superior in the scenes. A trip to Marquette isn’t complete without stopping at least one of the many amazing coffee shops, so we refueled at Contrast Coffee. To conclude their photos, we ventured into the creek at Founder’s Landing where they played barefoot in the water.
