That Time They Booked Lifestyle Photos Because New Dog + New Home

Molly + Jared are dear friends of ours who relatively recently relocated to southwest Michigan. Molly grew up nearby their new home, and only a short jaunt further is my own first childhood home (that’s right… I’m actually not Yooper-born.. cue the menacing music). We made plans to stay with Jared and Molly while we made a quick stop in the Kalamazoo area to visit my grandparents’ resting place before traveling eastward to stay with my sister. To give some history, I met Molly at Northern Michigan University and she was my go-to babysitter for Ayden when I was a single mom and worked for the student newspaper. She and Jared (along with an array of so many other incredible humans we’ve had the pleasure of befriending at NMU) are an integral part of Ayden’s early childhood days and played a role in his character development. To say I’m honored to photograph these two - AND their gorgeous pup, Hank - is a severe understatement. They’re among the most genuine and hilarious humans I know.
