While some of my favorite humans were in the UP recently for a friend’s wedding, we took to Tourist Park in Marquette for maternity photos. We revisited a location we used for engagement photos a few years prior. Molly kept the vibe simple with a long-sleeved lace shirt and jean overalls. The goal was just enough photos to commerorate this chapter before baby.
My grandparents entertained my idea to make creative portraits of them in the phlox at golden hour this spring. This is a big year for them; my grandpa turned 91, my grandma turned 90, and soon they’ll be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
The light was very bright at 3pm but we made due using Cannon’s dad’s old truck around the parking structures of Houghton, MI.
Often I don’t get my blog posts out because I feel the need to write something more profound. This is my attempt to just share and let the images speak. Welcome to our month of June outside of work hours.
Just a few black and white frames of our Keweenaw summer kicking off, complete with a slip ‘n’ slide, nosy dog, and all of the Fort Nite moves.
Chloe is a 2021 senior. Her photos will bring you through mini jungles of lupine stems, up and down sun baked sand dunes, and splashing through mighty Lake Superior.
It seems like all at once, everyone we knew adopted puppies! In early June, my parents adopted their first purebred English Setter pup, Byride! She’s surpassed Jeeves in height and weight now, once upon a time she was the little fluff nugget in these frames.
Sometimes you just a need a photo refresh! I’ve loved photographing Josh and Maddie for quite some time! Just for fun, their proposal, their engagement photos, their wedding, and here we are now. Need another reason to scroll through these images? They brought their beloved golden doodle, Otto, along for the shoot who can be seen bouncing around and attacking all of the snow at the end!
While the greater of 2020 has presented unprecedented challenges, there’s no white light sterility in our house, but rather strands of multi-colored joy exuding from our now frosted windows.
As you may already know, we’re expecting Baby Lindemann… and SOON! These next couple of weeks are going to be packed with photo sessions, a few last minute house projects (oops, we tore out our flooring?!), spending extra time with Ayden, and trying to find time to simply relax as my stomach feels stretched to its max. This post shares various thoughts on this pregnancy as well as our maternity photos taken by Riutta Images!
Entering age 26 doesn’t feel as scary as entering age 25 did. Something about turning a quarter of a century just made me feel old. I was stuck looming over the question of have I done enough so far if my life is a quarter of the way lived? But if there’s anything I’ve learned in the past year, it is that I’m still so young and feel full of life.
Madelyn is a 2020 senior and an aspiring photographer herself! Her senior session brought us all around Baraga county, wandering through fields and brush, and stopping by the shores of Lake Superior.
Holly is one the sweetest souls you could ever meet and of my neighbors out in the small community of Keweenaw Bay. Her session brought us down to sites along the Sturgeon River, her grandparents’ dairy farm, and fields of barley. In the end, we definitely needed to include the cows.
In honor of our 2020 high school seniors, I’ll be hosting a senior blogging marathon! Leeah attends Baraga Area Schools. Her session brought us through red pine stands, beneath walnut trees, around abandoned buildings, and along Lake Superior.
If ya’ll need a laugh… that’s literally what this post is for. Did you know that I actually took my husband’s senior photos years ago before either of us even dreamt of dating?! This post shares a little about our love story and spoiler: I shared BOTH of our senior photos. Enjoy our baby faces and the funny story of how we came to be.
Need a light-hearted break from the heavy content hitting your newsfeeds lately? Jeeves, our beloved German Shepard-husky mix, is already 6 months old! Don’t let his serious face deceive you - he loves long walks, “boofing” at the deer, and sneaking spoonfuls of peanut butter when dad isn’t looking.
On Friday, September 27th, 2019, Dustin and I exchanged our marriage vows beneath a cathedral of red pines at the Mouth of the Huron River. Dylan and Marisa at Boy Girl Beauty World captured our wedding weekend so incredibly! Our wedding part 1 highlights our ceremony day along the Huron River at the border of Marquette and Baraga counties. We ran down beaches, hiked around Michigan forests, and ended the night with a bonfire.
This fall, I had the privilege to photograph my brother-in-law’s senior photos. We took a full day excursion with the family along the Peshekee grade that borders the Huron Mountains.
Happy 4th birthday to our chicken-loving and strong willed Emmett!
